Welcome to Gestüt Homberg in Bubikon. Our riding stables offer horse-lovers: a riding stable and boarding stable, training and riding school, horse breeding and sale of sport horses.
Gestüt Homberg, run by Rudolf Guyer, is one of the leading and most experienced riding stables in the canton of Zurich, Switzerland. Our boarding stables offer the horses an excellent infrastructure, year round pastures and qualified staff.
We have our own riding hall since 24 February 2001. The riding arena is 26m wide and 50m long. The hall can also be hired by guests or for events.
The riding hall is well-lit and is built entirely of wood. The riders’ club room is heated and has a bar. The hall has modern footing material for all types of equestrian sports. It is completely dust-free, cushioned and firm enough to provide traction.
The hall can be used seven days a week, from 7am to 10pm.
Gestüt Homberg has two sand arenas
Sand arena 40x40m:
Chloronag footing material for jumping and dressage.
Quartz sand and fleece (excellent on wet weather)
Lunging arena 25x20m:
Footing material also suitable for off-rein work
We have very extensive pasture lands. Your horse will be put to pasture and brought back by one of our staff, this service is included in the price. For stallions please contact us.

Our surrounding arena is simply perfect for hacking out. Nature at its best! There are many excellent bridal paths that are perfect for trotting and cantering. The landscape is highly varied.
You can ride for long stretches without having to cross a single road. A wide variety of different arenas mean that our surroundings will be a much-loved area for you and your horse.
We have approximately 40 hectares of fields, meadows and forest. Except for straw, we produce all of our feed ourselves at Gestüt Homberg. We started with one of our own horses in 1982,built up to one horse and three boarders in 1986 and have built up to the current level step-by-step over the years. In 1987, we built our first sand arena and had 15 boarding horses living in Homberg.
In 2001 we built the riding hall. At present, 80 horses live on the farm.
Since Spring 2004, around 15 horses are housed in the former cow bam witch we converted to a group stable.
